General Information
Who can compete?
Local pulls are open to all children ages 4-12. Children must register the day of the pull, prior to the start of the pull. The registration location is usually trackside and usually starts one hour before the pull. However, every event is slightly different. Check with the event organizer. State and national championship pulls require qualifying at a lower level pull. They require proof of qualification by presenting the appropriate qualification voucher and proof of age.
Can I use my own tractor?
No. The pull operator will provide the tractors and sled(s). All competitors in the same class will use the same tractor and sled.
How are winners determined?
The the winners in each class are the competitors who pull the heaviest weight the farthest distance. If more that one competitor pulls the sled the maximum distance (a full pull), more weight will be added to the sled and everyone who got a full pull will be called back for a pull-off. This will repeat as needed until a winner is determined.
